Education is the tool capable of shaping minds and transforming lives. Every child on Earth, irrespective of his/her financial background has a fundamental right to Education. Though not every child is fortunate enough to receive this precious gift.

For children born in poor households, education becomes an extravagant luxury that their parents are never able to afford. Their hopes and dreams are overwhelmed with the distress of their present and ‘Impossible’ becomes the most relatable word for them.

We need to tell them that there’s a beautiful life beyond the heaps of waste and the despair of their lives. And yes, it’s possible to make that life their own through education.

We need to give them Hope…


Our School

We are running a community school for children from impoverished families. We currently have over 40 students attending these classes. Our objective is to not just provide them with regular education but rather train them for life.

Children in their early stages have higher creativity. They respond better to practical learning rather than being limited to the books. Thus, we have incorporated a practical approach into our teaching methodology. This includes helping them grasp the alphabet through fun activities, teaching difficult English words through phonetics and playful activities, teaching math through games and much more.

Colours and sounds make learning interactive for kids making clearer impressions on their still vulnerable subconscious mind. What they learn in games is retained for far longer as compared to textbook learning.

Kids of slightly higher classes are informed about basic general knowledge and how things in the world work. For that is where they eventually need to apply this knowledge.

Health is a prime requisite for better learning and better life as a whole. Thus, if these children are taught the value of health at an early stage, it could result into a much better quality of life in the time to come.

Teaching them the value of sanitation, hygiene and the human body is a part of our curriculum. Once they understand the functioning of the body and its requirements, they can learn to self-diagnose their needs and issues to some extent. This would help them to invest the limited resources that they have into things that benefit them.

Meditation and Pranayam can greatly help to enhance physical and mental health. They can also help to cope these kids with their unfavourable living conditions a little. Thus, giving them an alternative to harmful addictions. This is a place where these deprived children not just get educated but understand life as a whole.
