'Creating Hope is the Greatest Service to Humanity'

About Maangal Charitable Trust

Maangal Charitable Trust is an NGO working for the welfare of Underprivileged Children and their families. We aim at creating Hope in the lives of people who can no longer see the light beyond the darkness of their lives. We believe that all of humanity has a fundamental right to the resources of the Earth.

Moreover, it is the responsibility of each one of us to ensure that none is deprived of the basic necessities of life. Improving the living standards of the impoverished by providing them alternate means of sustenance through vocational training is another of our motives.

Fighting Malnutrition

The Children of a Nation define its future. It cannot be emphasized enough how important it is to ensure the proper physical, mental, and moral growth of our children. The Fight against Malnutrition in underprivileged children is one of our Prime Foci. Often, they have access to food, but this food lacks the required nutritious value, leading to various deficiencies in them. These children live on the fringe of society that even the government has not been able to reach with its best efforts. Our motive is to provide them with at least one healthy and nutritious meal a day to meet their nutritional needs.

Shaping Lives

Young minds are delicate and vulnerable to all sorts of vices. Further, the conditions these children live in restrict their thinking process. Most of them belong to families where the father is usually a laborer, and the mother is a housemaid. No adequate sources of income and no hopes for the future gradually prompt them to scramble for ways to acquire money in any way possible. Many of these ways lead them to paths from which there is no turning back. Thus, criminals of all kinds are born.

We strive to provide them with newer directions, thus creating hopes for a better life that they never thought was possible. Education is a tool capable of shaping young minds for better ways of life, and books are man’s best friend. We open up their doors to education and learning that lets the Sun of Hope shine through their lives darkened by despair.

Segregation of Wet and Dry Waste

Encouraging the segregation of wet and dry wastes in households and recycling waste is another of our crusades for the protection of child health. These poor rag-picker children risk serious health hazards on exposure to these unsegregated toxic wastes. These heaps of waste contain untreated medical wastage, syringes, broken pieces of glass, sharp metal pieces, and what not. Imagine passing by a massive stinking heap of garbage. Its smell for just 5 seconds irritates us to an unbearable extent. That’s exactly where these children live. The stench of this waste fills their noses and their very lives to an intolerable level.

Preventing Substance Abuse

Finding it difficult to cope with the stench and despair of their lives, they resort to all sorts of intoxications to numb themselves and escape its sensation. This makes them drug addicts at a very early age and puts them on a path that leads nowhere.

These waste heaps are what we discard with no sense of concern so that our homes can stay clean and fragrant. It is time to realize our responsibility to separate wet and dry wastes before getting rid of them. If this waste is separated and disposed off appropriately, these heaps would never get created in the first place.

Maangal Charitable Trust is all about Change. And the Change starts with ‘YOU.’ We might not be able to change the entire world. But we can sure change ourselves and the world around us.

There is goodness within all of us. It is all about Realizing it.
